In Memoriam

Libraries have touched the lives of all of us from the cradle to grave. In
this time of grief you can make a difference in the lives of many for
generations to come with a memorial in memory of your loved one to the
Greater Largo Library Foundation.

Our Mission

The mission of the Greater Largo Library Foundation is to provide current
and future support which insures that the Largo Public Library will be able
to provide the best possible services to its individual and business
patrons, and to the community at large.

We at the Foundation would like to help you remember your loved one in a
special way. What a joy it would be to see your loved one’s name in a book
or on our memory wall. Maybe even on the end of a bookcase. Your donation
will bring joy to every person that enters the library and uses one of the
services we provide.

You can decide today to make a contribution to the Largo Public Library in
memory of your loved one. Your donation is tax deductible. We look forward
to working with you and providing a meaningful and lasting tribute.

Bookplate

For a gift of $35.00 you can have the name of your loved one memorialized with a bookplate placed in the book of your choice in the library. Once you make your donation, you will be contacted and asked about your book choice. What a great way to remember your loved one and share your love with those who read.

Bookcase listing

Honor your loved one with their name placed on the end of a library
bookcase. Your loved one will be forever remembered in one of the following
sized engravings.

Large Print–$1000    Medium Print–$500    Small Print–$250

You may choose the area in the library where you would like the name of your
loved one placed.

Room Naming

Have you ever thought of having a room named in memory of your loved one? The Largo Public Library has the following naming opportunities.

Adult Non-Fiction • Art Gallery Drive-Through Book Drop • Café Front Entrance Terrace • Information Desk Children's Computer Room • Multi-Media Area Quiet Reading Rooms • Teen Center And many other opportunities.

Please contact the Foundation for the donation required for the naming opportunities. Donation ranges from $25,000 to $100,000 per room.

Designer Stars

A wall of Designer Stars has been created to honor those who contribute a memorial gift of $2500 for a Small Star or a $5000 gift for the Large Star. A name and a message may be placed on the plaque below the available star of your choice. This is another special way to honor your loved one with a lasting gift.

The Lifetime Donors Wall

All gifts of $25,000 or greater will be given special recognition on our
Lifetime Donors Wall and will be granted lifetime members status of the
Greater Largo Library Foundation. You will be invited to the Annual Meeting
of the Foundation held every February and to all the special events the
Foundation sponsors. Your gift to the Foundation will apply to our Endowment
Fund and your loved one’s name will be engraved on the Endowment Plaque. Let
the name of your loved one greet all who enter the Library.
