How Can I Support the Foundation?
The Foundation welcomes your support in many ways. Your contributions, either through membership, donations, event sponsorships or planned giving help pay for the Foundation’s programs, projects and Library enhancements, and provide financial stability for their future, so efforts like the Homework Center and Books on Wheels can continue without disruption.
Your membership in the Foundation, starting as low as $50-a-year, comes with many benefits that are explained in detail in the Foundation’s membership pamphlet. Your greatest benefit, though, is knowing that your membership sustains the Foundation’s activities throughout the year.
Individual and Corporate Sponsorships
By specifically sponsoring part or all of a Foundation event or program such as the New Year’s Eve Celebration, our annual Fashion Show, or the Outstanding Authors Series, you help defray the costs of these events, which in turn helps the Foundation to further expand its outreach and educational mission. Individual and corporate sponsorships start as low as $1,000. Sponsors receive valuable benefits in return for their support, including extensive print and electronic marketing, other publicity and recognition, event tickets, preferred seating, and more.
You may be interested in becoming a Partner in Education and Social Enrichment, in which you make a one-year commitment to contribute one of the many in-kind goods or services essential to the success of Foundation programs and events. P.E.S.E. contributors receive generous publicity and marketing opportunities from the Foundation throughout the year.
Planned Giving
Many supporters contribute to the Foundation through planned giving, by naming the Foundation as a beneficiary in their will or living trust, through contributions of stock or real estate, or pledging a gift through other means of estate planning. Many supporters use planned giving as a simple means of pledging a fixed annual contribution to the Foundation. Planned giving also offers many methods of grateful recognition, or anonymous giving, as you prefer. A member of the Foundation’s Board will be happy to discuss planned giving with you.
Attend Fundraising Events
What a wonderful way to celebrate our new Library! Open it to give the community a fun, family-oriented New Year’s celebration. The Foundation’s New Year’s Eve bash gives central and north Pinellas County a community-wide party that is entertaining, safe and wholesome. The party, which also raises money to support the Foundation’s current and future programs, and features live music, canapes, dancing, champagne toasts –– and secure child care for parents who cannot find a baby-sitter for New Year’s Eve. What a wonderful way to support the Foundation, and have a great time doing it!
The Foundation’s annual spring Fashion Foolery is another anticipated event that draws enthusiastic guests and an enviable list of celebrity models.
No matter how you support the Foundation, your contributions and gifts are gratefully recognized through a variety of means from bookplates for $35 contributions, to room-naming opportunities. Our donors wall, book shelf end plates, and donor stars are a few others.
Volunteers are always welcome!
Many hands make light work! And many of our supporters help by volunteering for the seemingly endless, but enjoyable tasks that make the Foundation so successful. Here is just a short list of volunteer opportunities: In the Foundation office; on our Marketing Committee; community outreach; Foundation events; helping with collectible book sales; driving for our Books on Wheels program; and –– more! Call the Foundation to learn more about volunteering.
